Minute-Made Diwali Decor! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿฎ

Hello friends,

I’m back!! Its been quite sometime since my last post and as festive season is around the corner, I thought of resuming with a festive decor post ๐Ÿ™‚ These are some last-minute, easy to implement decor ideas, especially for Diwali, but you can also use them to pep up your house for the entire season.

Oil-free Diyas:

Opt for T-light candles instead of oil diyas to light up the insides of your home. You can get away from oil spills and you can light them where ever you want.ย  To make them more jazzy, you can decorate the candle holder with crystal stickers or glitter tapes ๐Ÿ™‚

Cabinet/Wall Lights:

This is a great idea to brighten up your rooms and add that festive feel. All you need to do is place the string lights along the sides of your cabinets – TV Cabinets, Bed Headboards or dining cabinets and secure them with cello-tape at regular intervals. Skip those regular white lights this season, and go for the golden glow instead!

DIY Paper Lanterns:

Lanterns add beauty to the candles in that they allow lights in different patterns. Even a plain white paper will do the trick. Make angled cuts on the paper in a zig-zag pattern using a blade. Fold along each of the cuts as shown. Stick this onto any plain glass candle holder you have. If you do not have one, you can simply stick the open edges of the paper to form a cylinder and place your candles inside.

Safety Tip: Make sure that the lantern is not too close to the candle if you are NOT using a glass votive.

Glowing Vases:

Use simple battery-run or LED string lights to decorate glass vases or jars instead of the regular flowers.

Glittering Stones:

Place glittering rocks (Read how to make them in one of my earlier posts –ย Bring Summer Home ๐ŸŒธ) or marbles in a tray or bowl. Add fairy lights or battery-operated lights and see the colours reflecting off the stones ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you liked the ideas! Do let me know in the comments ๐Ÿ™‚

Wish you all a very Happy and Safe Diwali!! ๐Ÿ™‚
